A Career in Aviation
Greetings, Readers!
So many people today are stuck in jobs that keep them locked up in the office, stranded in what seems like the hallway to hell where nothing you do really matters and has no future other than being the everyday paper thumper. Or, You are working hard labor in the outdoors for a few measly bucks which is barely enough to get you back and forth to work, on top of transportation costs, such as auto-insurance, loan payments, and vehicle maintenance. Is this really a way to live? If you ask me, I would rather do something that involves the pressure and multi-tasking, fun, entertainment, and something that puts a hobby to work for you to make money, and is something you look forward to each and every day.
My suggestion would be to look into the industry of Aviation! "Why the heck would I want to do that and doesn't cost quite a bit to get into?" The answer to that is that it is a little pricey and so is everything else that requires a little education and training. There are over 1000 careers in the industry and no-matter what your profession, in one way or another it can be easily transitioned into what you would call "a career." But hey, if you don't want that, then I'm sure that someone else would love to make the money you aren't and have all the fun and rewards that come along with it. I recently interviewed a few people in the industry of Aviation. Simply view the video attached.
In my own experience of aviation, I have made it my goal and plan to become commercially certified to fly jets like Andrew. So far, i have completed the initial requirements of ground school, my solo flight, and logged 47 hours of flight time. I am now left with my cross country requirements, the written and oral exam.
If you would like more information on aviation and what it entails, you can go to your local regional airport, or simply go to school which is quite a bit more expensive, but a faster pace compared to the track you would be on independently with a local regional airport.
Two schools that I can think of off the top of my head that are rated highest in the nation, are Embry RIddle Aeronautical University, in Daytona FL, and Delta Aviation Academy. You may also look into the military as a way of getting it all payed for.
All I can say is that it is one experience you will never forget. Once you hit the designated taxi-way and the controller give you your runway assignment, your adrenaline will kick in, and before you know it, you are flying 7,500 ft AGL (Above Ground Level) looking into the horizon as the wind from the propeller blows back over your face. Such an amazing experience.
Before I conclude, One really well known program that will not only gaurantee that you can and will pass, is King Schools. John and Martha King hold every class and endorsement regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration. I can also personally gaurantee that you will find a new hobby in aviation, and rather its a pilot, or simply a mechanic working on planes, a salesman, clerk, or customer service, there is something for everyone. So what are you waiting for? Expand your horizons, and i'll see you in the air!

A career in aviation certainly does sound appealing, but I'm quite pleased with the work arrangement I have presently.

Sounds like a great idea for some; unfortunately I am afraid of heights. Well-written article!
