Plan Ahead and Prepare!

Hold on to your boots ladies and gents! I'm talkin' about high winds and super cells that are sweeping across the country leaving Florida as a target for massive storms and warm water that will cause a huge stir in the nations water bodies and eco-climate. So far this year, we have seen incredible storms that have destroyed most of the central western region. This year is expected to be one of the most active storm seasons we have seen yet. This also means we are going to see some rough Hurricane winds coming soon judging by the weather patterns.

If you remember anything about the past years in Florida, the weather really hasn't been all that bad. Maybe a few storms here and there, some winds, and on occasion some tornadoes. But nothing too drastic. As time goes by, we should see cloud coverage become increasingly different and a little more upset as the the season continues in the direction that it has.

Here in Central Florida, we have had quite a show here when it comes to lightning and thunder. Lately, it has felt like hundreds of shuttles have broken the sound barrier in less than only a few seconds apart. You don't believe me? Take a look at the National Weather Service website and see for yourself! We have lightning strikes lasting up to 1.2 seconds per strike and touches down. Anyone hungry? Here in Polk City, Florida, I'm sure a few cows have been cooked! Stay clear of doors and windows and in low areas. Because this light show is definitely one you wish to stick around for in a wide open field. You will be the firework that gets set off.

Every channel you switch to will tell you the same thing as far as forecasts. From ABC, Fox, NBC, and others, you will learn to expect storms that come in clumps as the cloud cover climbs into the higher altitude, preparing for a ground shaker.

What does this mean? Well, I am no meteorologist, but if you are in Florida now, please comment below to be witness to the weather phenomenon around your area. Feel free to tell us about freak storms that you have been through and what so far the weather at your place has done.

Please keep on topic in your posts. This is for travelers who have never been to Florida or haven't been in quite a while. I look forward to hearing about the weather activity in your area and what you have been through or seen. Thanks for reading!
